Velcro
Velcro is a brand name of fabric hook and loop fasteners. It consists of two layers: a
"hook" side, which is a piece of fabric covered with tiny hooks, and
a "loop" side, that is covered with even smaller and
"hairier" loops. Velcro hook and loop fasteners can be made of many
things—the first sample was made of cotton, which proved to be impractical.
Nylon and polyester are the fibres most commonly produced now. There are variations
on the standard Velcro hook and loop fasteners: one of them, for
example, includes hooks on both sides.
Because it is easy to use,
maintenance free and safe, the hook and loop fasteners have been used
for just about every conceivable application where a temporary bond is
required. It is especially popular in clothing where it replaces buttons or
zippers, and as a shoe fastener. It is used for hats, leather products,
furniture’s, medical equipment, curtains, camping equipments, seat pad, and
wires & cables etc.
Hook and Loop Fasteners
We have a
large selection of hook and loop tapes, mainly applied in the production of curtains, the
purse-working industry (bags, rucksacks, sleeping bags), as well as ornamental elements
and fasteners in jackets, sports clothing and shoes (sew on). The tapes are sold as sets
of rolls (a hook and a loop); separately and as self-adhesive Velcro tape.
They are available in many widths (16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 35mm, 40mm,
50mm, and large 100mm), and colours. Our Velcro tapes are very durable and firmly-joining;
their colour is exceptionally and ideal for crafts.
